CARVING - cutting of the discs
Normally the cut is made with a pineapple-shaped cutter that leaves burrs of material at the edges of the teeth. For this, special LIEBHERR deburring systems are used, which are called DC and can be modularly incorporated into the machine or kept external.

It is a vertical gear cut (sometimes carving by space limit is not possible).
The shrouding by generation is mainly used for the production of internal indentations and outer gears in gear with final space of accommodation for the tool. That is to say, due to the special geometry of the piece or to contours of interference, only the machining by means of the shrouding procedure is possible. The slotting machines are equipped with cutting tools, manufactured in-house, perfectly adapted to the process and the machine.

Gear shaping machines

Gear shaping machines are employed primarily in the production of internal and external gears on workpieces with limited tool overrun. That means that the special workpiece geometry or interference conditions only make machining possible using the shaping process. Gear shaping machines are equipped with cutting tools from our own production which are optimally matched to the process and the machine.
